Tragic in Germany: Private plane crashes into a building, two people die

On Saturday morning, a small airplane crashed into a residential building in the Kleinenbroich neighborhood, Korschenbroich city, in the Rhine (North Rhine-Westphalia) region of Germany.

The pilot and one other person died in the accident.

According to initial information, the plane crashed into the front yard of a house, severely damaging the facade and the building’s wall. Part of the house caught fire, and thick smoke rose over the area.

The pilot had reported engine problems while in the air and requested to land at Mönchengladbach airport, but unfortunately the accident happened before he could reach it.

Multiple police, fire, and rescue forces are on site, working to manage the situation and investigate the cause of the accident.
