LDK MP Arben Gashi has called on Kosovo’s political leaders, including his own party’s chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, to sit down with Albin Kurti and reach a political understanding — even if it means agreeing to hold new elections.
Ahead of the parliamentary session for the constitution of the Assembly, Gashi emphasized that despite disagreements with Kurti and his approach to governance, it is crucial for political leaders to demonstrate maturity and constructive dialogue for the good of the country.
“The problem is that no one sees cooperation with Mr. Kurti as possible. The way he dismissed the LDK minister and his behavior in power over the last four years are problematic. But I still believe there’s room for overcoming this,” he stated.
He pointed out the irony in the fact that a future Prime Minister will have to sit down with Aleksandar Vučić, while today’s political leaders in Kosovo refuse to engage in dialogue with each other.
Gashi added that Kurti must apologize for what he called “offensive language and degrading behavior,” and take responsibility for the political position the country is in.
