Përparim Kryeziu, spokesperson for the Government of Kosovo, stated on the social network “X” that the European External Action Service’s call for illegal structures to be addressed through the Association is a misleading representation of the intended purpose of the Association.

“The EEAS suggestion in today’s statement – that illegal structures in Kosovo should be addressed and resolved through the Association – is a misleading portrayal of what the Association was ever meant to be,” wrote Përparim Kryeziu in English.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the European Union expressed concern over the police operation conducted by Kosovo authorities on Monday at the offices of the Serbian Postal Savings Bank in northern Kosovo.

In a published statement, the European Union said that this action was carried out without prior warning and coordination, just a few days after the last meeting in Brussels, where the issue of this bank was also addressed.

For the EU, Monday’s action is escalatory and contrary to the spirit of normalizing relations.
