The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly and one of the leading figures of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albulena Haxhiu, expressed confidence that Glauk Konjufca will succeed in forming the new government.

Haxhiu described Konjufca as a “unifying figure” and the second most voted person in the country, emphasizing that his nomination aims to prevent a new political crisis.

“Konjufca is a unifying person, the second most voted in the country, and our proposal comes to avoid another political crisis. We are seeking the approval of the budget and the formation of a temporary government before the country heads to new elections,” Haxhiu said in an interview for A2CNN.

Konjufca, who is the second nominee from Vetëvendosje (LVV), has 15 days from the moment of his nomination to secure the necessary votes for forming the Government.

However, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) stated for Gazeta Blic that they have not received any invitation or had any meeting with Konjufca.

“No, we haven’t received an invitation for a meeting, nor have we had one,” said Lutfi Haziri, the party’s deputy chairman, briefly for Gazeta Blic.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) gave the same response.

The party’s Secretary General, Vlora Çitaku, confirmed that no invitation was sent, adding that even if there had been one, their answer would still be ‘no’ to any possible cooperation.

“No, we haven’t received any invitation, and even if we had, the answer is no,” Çitaku declared.
