A case of aggravated theft was reported on December 31, 2025, in the village of Upper Korrotica (Korroticë e Epërme) in the municipality of Gllogoc, after unknown perpetrators forcibly entered a facility belonging to the Ibër Lepenc company.
According to the report, the suspects broke into the building by force and damaged a power transformer used to operate water pumping systems, causing a disruption to essential infrastructure.
In addition to the damage inflicted on the transformer, the perpetrators stole electrical cables and transformer oil, resulting in material losses estimated at approximately €15,000.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Police units responded to the scene shortly after the incident was reported, and the case is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
So far, no suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with the theft.
In its official 24-hour report, the Kosovo Police stated:
“Aggravated theft – Upper Korrotica village, Gllogoc. On 31.12.2025, a Kosovo male complainant reported that unknown persons forcibly opened the door of the Ibër Lepenc facility and damaged the transformer that powers the water pumps. The suspects also stole cables and oil, causing damage estimated at around €15,000. The case is under investigation.”
Authorities have not yet released additional details, while investigations continue to identify those responsible.
