Iran’s Minister of Health, Mohammad-Reza Zafarghand, has stated that the majority of casualties from Israeli attacks are women and children, Iranian state media reports.
While an official count of victims from the past three days of conflict is not yet available, Iran’s envoy to the UN stated on Friday that at least 78 people lost their lives in the first wave of Israeli attacks, CNN reports.
The following day, state media reported another severe missile strike that hit a residential complex, causing the deaths of at least 60 people. The casualty figures may still rise, as many of the injured are in critical condition.
