The captain of the national team, Ardian Ismajli, described the match against the Czech Republic as a missed opportunity, as the opponents secured the draw they came for.

“This match was played in phases. It’s true that they dominated the first 25 minutes. Fortunately, they hit the post. We also had some chances, not many. In the second half, we controlled everything, and the Czech Republic sat back. As you saw, the Czechs came for a draw, and they got what they wanted. We tried, we are still in the game, we have a match against Ukraine, and we hope for the best.”

“I believe that in the first match, we played them often, and in the first game, we had never seen Choryn in the national team before. Even though he scored, the first goal was lucky, the second one was good. Today, we had prepared well because we knew his strengths and managed to neutralize him very effectively,” Ismajli told “DigitAlb.”
