Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that Israeli tanks have entered the occupied West Bank for the first time since 2002.

In a speech at a graduation ceremony for military officers in Holon, Netanyahu stated that this means they will fight terrorism with all means and anywhere.

Israel is intensifying its strikes on Palestinian territory and has stated that it is determined to eliminate militancy amid a rise in attacks, according to AP.

Israel launched a large-scale offensive in the northern West Bank on January 21, two days after the current ceasefire in Gaza, and has expanded it into nearby areas.
