Italy’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, together with Kosovo’s acting Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, visited the Microbiology Laboratory at the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK), which was established through cooperation between Kosovo and Italy.
The laboratory was developed with the support of the Italian Development Cooperation, using funds from the “Support to the Kosovo Health System” project, financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
The visit highlighted the strong partnership between Kosovo and Italy in strengthening the country’s healthcare system, particularly in the fields of laboratory diagnostics and microbiology.
Officials emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in improving healthcare infrastructure, enhancing diagnostic capabilities, and supporting medical services for the benefit of Kosovo’s citizens.
