As Israeli military strikes against targets in Iran continue, air raid sirens have been heard in Amman, the capital of Jordan. In response to the escalating situation, Jordan has now closed its airspace, the BBC reports.

The Israeli military announced that attacks on Iranian objectives are still ongoing, even in the current hours. Reuters reported that several missiles were seen over Jerusalem, where residents have been advised to stay close to shelters.

The Israeli military confirmed that it identified missiles launched from Iran on Saturday and that defense systems were actively working to intercept them.
