The High Representative of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, has responded regarding the appointment of Peter Sørensen as the new European envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
In a post on the X platform, Kallas emphasized the importance of the work ahead, stating that the full normalization of relations is a key condition for the integration of both countries into the EU.
“I warmly welcome Peter Sørensen as the EUSR for Dialogue. There is a lot of important work ahead. Full normalization of relations is the only path for both Kosovo and Serbia to join the EU. Thank you for your efforts, Miroslav Lajčak! The work done serves as a foundation for re-engagement,” Kallas wrote.
