Prince Harry and his father, King Charles III, met for a private tea at the royal residence, marking their first meeting in 19 months, officials at Buckingham Palace confirmed.
Their relationship has been strained since 2020, when Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from royal duties and moved to California to pursue media projects and charity work.
Speculation about a possible reunion grew as Harry was seen entering and leaving Clarence House in a visit lasting less than an hour, according to Sky News.
The 40-year-old prince is currently in the UK for the WellChild Awards, a charity supporting seriously ill children and their carers. He also visited the grave of Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor to lay flowers.
In May, Harry told BBC that his father would not speak to him due to security concerns, but he expressed a desire for reconciliation with the royal family and to move past conflicts.
