Kosovo’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced that temporary traffic restrictions for freight vehicles weighing more than 20 tonnes will remain in place tomorrow due to the forecast of high temperatures.
On motorways, the restriction will apply from 11:00 to 17:30, when temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 32°C.
The measure does not apply to national, regional or connecting roads, where vehicles over 20 tonnes will be permitted to circulate without restrictions.
Vehicles belonging to law enforcement and public security authorities, emergency services and healthcare institutions are exempt from the restrictions.
The Ministry has urged transport operators and drivers to comply with the measure and plan their journeys according to the designated hours.
