Historical Context:
The Kosovo Police was formally trained starting September 6, 1999, by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, with the first generation of 176 recruits completing training and beginning police service across Kosovo. Today, the force numbers over 10,000 officers from all communities.

This year’s anniversary theme reflects the dedication of the Kosovo Police:
“Day and night in service, I am the emblem of my state.”
