The Kosovo Police have stated that investigations into the explosion on the Ibër-Lepenc main canal confirm that it was a deliberate terrorist act carried out by suspected individuals.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the police confirmed that international security institutions have been notified about the attack.
“Kosovo Police have increased security measures at sensitive locations and will continue to work intensively to clarify and shed light on the case. Preliminary investigations indicate that the attack was intentional and carried out with explosives by individuals or a criminal group, causing significant material damage.”
“Kosovo Police will use all available resources and assistance from the international community to investigate the evidence and identify those responsible for damaging the country’s water supply, power plant operations, and Zubin Potok, which could harm citizens,” the statement reads.
