Prime Minister Albin Kurti held a bilateral meeting with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso, during his official visit to the United Kingdom.
According to an official press release from the Office of the Prime Minister (ZKM), the discussions centered on strengthening strategic cooperation and advancing key infrastructural and economic development projects within Kosovo.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti encouraged the EBRD to expand its financial and technical support for Kosovo’s private sector, alongside pivotal public initiatives in energy, water management, and public transit systems.
“Prime Minister Kurti encouraged the EBRD to continue its support for the private sector and critical projects in the fields of energy, water, and public transport,” the statement from the ZKM read. “He emphasized the Government’s unwavering commitment to advancing strategic infrastructure projects and fulfilling the shared objectives of this mutual cooperation.”
The meeting underscores Kosovo’s ongoing efforts to secure international institutional backing to modernize its domestic infrastructure, accelerate sustainable economic growth, and transition toward resilient public services.
