Kossev: While the Last Serbian Symbols Are Vanishing in the North, Vučić Serves Pancakes to Soldiers

On the same day that the Serbian coat of arms and the logos of parallel institutions were removed in Northern Mitrovica and replaced with symbols of the Republic of Kosovo, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was making pancakes for soldiers at his “temporary residence” – the military barracks in Loznica.

Last week’s police action in Northern Kosovo resulted in the closure of Serbian parallel institutions. Since the implementation on Friday, the Serbian state symbols and flags, as well as the names of these Serbian institutions, have been removed from these locations.

They have been replaced with new flags of Kosovo and new signs indicating that these are now Kosovo institutions.

With this, the last symbol of the Serbian state was eliminated from Northern Kosovo, writes the Kossev portal.

At the same time, the Serbian President announced that “he would go to Kosovo tomorrow,” but Kosovo and the international community are unlikely to allow this.

Later, he traveled to Loznica, a city where a lithium mine is planned to open, and announced that he would spend several days in the military barracks.

He immediately boasted about the accommodation. In a video posted on Instagram, he informed the public about where he would bathe, sleep, and work.

A few hours later, Vučić made another announcement, also from the barracks.

“Reminds me of my military days, and my eternal desire to have pancakes in the mess hall,” the Serbian President announced this “very important news” to the public.

In a video posted on Instagram, accompanied by dramatic music, Vučić attempted to make pancakes in the barracks’ kitchen. He then distributed them to soldiers in the mess hall.
