On Thursday, Central Election Commission (KQZ) Chair Kreshnik Radoniqi held a meeting with France’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, René Troccaz.
According to a KQZ statement, Troccaz was accompanied by Gabrielle Juve, France’s Kosovo Desk Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and French Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot.
During the meeting, Radoniqi briefed the French delegation on the preparations underway for the upcoming Local Elections scheduled for 12 October 2025.
“Radoniqi also outlined concrete steps the KQZ has taken and ongoing activities, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process, and highlighted the importance of cooperation with international partners in maintaining and advancing democratic standards in Kosovo,” the statement reads.
The statement added that Troccaz praised the KQZ’s work as an independent institution and wished success for free and democratic elections in Kosovo.
