The command of the Kosovo Security Force has successfully concluded the field exercises “LFX” and “Fortuna 4”.
In a Facebook announcement, Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci emphasizes that these exercises were undertaken as part of the plan and preparations for the validation of the Second Infantry Regiment, aiming to train squads at the T2-T3 level to develop tactical performance at the platoon and company levels.
The media closely followed these training maneuvers, conducted with live ammunition. Colonel Valdet Berisha, Chief of the General Staff of the Ground Forces Command, told us that “every member of the Kosovo Security Force is educated, trained, and disciplined, even at the national level, on how to best serve the country.”
The military doctrine adopted is American, with NATO standards. Battle abilities were tested in the field such as response to contact with live ammunition, contact detachment, and skirmishing.
The mission of all members of the Kosovo Security Force is to be trained and ready to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo. From what the team observed during these exercises, the morale of the Kosovo soldiers was high, reaching the sky when the troops remembered the glorious past of those who gave everything for the Republic of Kosovo
The Kosovo Security Force is part of the 10-year transition plan to transform it into an Armed Force, a plan that concludes in 2028.
