The head of the government referred to those he met as ambassadors who show the world who Albanians are and what the Republic of Kosovo offers.

Kurti further emphasized the key role of the diaspora in cultivating a rich cultural tradition.

“In this heartfelt meeting and conversation, which was held at the venue where the exhibition of the Kosovo artist Petrit Halilaj is being showcased, Prime Minister Kurti referred to them as ambassadors who show the world who Albanians are and what the Republic of Kosovo offers. He emphasized the key role of the diaspora in cultivating a rich cultural tradition, whose achievements make us proud, and their success serves as an inspiration for generations committed to all spheres, whether in technology, education, business, or art,” the statement reads.

It further states that the Prime Minister mentioned that for the government, the diaspora is an inseparable part of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Thus, the work of young artists and professionals worldwide, especially in New York, not only strengthens the cultural and economic ties between Kosovo and the United States but also plays a decisive role in advancing Kosovo’s reputation.”

Kurti said that Kosovo has youth with extraordinary creative potential, and the government will continue its efforts to create a favorable creative environment so that Kosovo becomes a land of opportunities and talent development, serving as the best promoter of the country in the world.

“This year alone, the government provided the highest financial support for culture with 8 million euros, replacing the previous support schemes, which resembled social schemes, with planned and categorized support aimed at ensuring the sustainability and economic independence of Kosovo’s independent cultural organizations,” the statement said.

“With special thanks for their contribution and passion in their respective professional fields, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and said that Kosovo always welcomes them,” it concludes.
