Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today with the Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Ambassador Aivo Orav, who delivered the 2025 Country Report from the European Commission.
At a press conference, Kurti emphasized that even as a caretaker government, Kosovo has successfully carried out its tasks, recording progress in 35 areas and delays in only three.
He confirmed that EU integration remains a strategic priority, while the report provides clear recommendations for improvement.
“Every year, our country receives the European Commission’s progress report, which assesses developments across all state sectors. Even though we have been a caretaker government, the report confirms that we have successfully fulfilled our obligations. EU integration remains the strategic priority of the Republic of Kosovo. This year’s report is positive in almost all areas and provides clear recommendations where there are delays. There has been no regression in any area this year; there is progress in 35 sectors and delays in only three. Progress ranges from limited to advanced, and our direction is clear—full EU membership. The report confirms our commitment to the integration process,” said Kurti.
