Prime Minister Albin Kurti has condemned the explosion in Zubin Potok, labeling it a criminal and terrorist act.
According to Kurti, the attack aimed to damage Kosovo’s critical infrastructure.
“This was undoubtedly an attempt to endanger the electricity supply in our country,” he stated.
“Tonight’s act is the most severe yet. Explosives were used to damage the main Ibër-Lepenc water channel, which supplies several cities in Kosovo with water, as well as KEK (Kosovo Energy Corporation) for cooling its power plants and producing electricity. A portion of the channel has been damaged by a detonated explosion. The police are already on-site and carrying out their duties. The supply of drinking water has been temporarily interrupted,” Kurti added.
