On the final day of the runoff campaign, the Vetëvendosje Movement held electoral events across several municipalities, including Mitrovica. There, party leader and Prime Minister Albin Kurti declared that with Faton Peci as mayor of Mitrovica, citizens are guaranteed “only unity, never division.”

“For a united capital without grudges” was also the message of Hajrulla Çeku, Vetëvendosje’s candidate for mayor of Prishtina, who called on citizens to leave behind divisions and join forces for their city.

“Let’s build Prishtina. It’s in our hands. It’s in our hearts. Let’s set aside divisions and resentments. Let’s unite for our city — for the neighborhoods where children grow up safely and with love, for the streets where we see hope, not disappointment. Prishtina belongs to all of us. United, it can become more than a capital — it can become our shared home,” said Çeku.

In Gjilan, Kurti joined the campaign of Vetëvendosje’s mayoral candidate Alban Hyseni, pledging support for major infrastructure projects — including the Firaja Dam, the city’s water supply system, and the construction of a railway connecting Gjilan with Prizren, Ferizaj, and Bujanoc.

Kurti also visited Vushtrri, where he endorsed candidate Sylejman Meholli. Both promised to operationalize the Lumbardh Economic Zone and to build a new roundabout on the Prishtina-Mitrovica highway.

Vetëvendosje concluded its campaign with a major event in South Mitrovica, where Kurti reaffirmed full governmental support for Peci’s projects.

“With Faton as mayor of Mitrovica — with Glauk, Donika, myself, and all of us here around Faton — you are guaranteed only unity, never division. One hundred percent, even one hundred and five percent,” Kurti declared.

Candidate Faton Peci also focused on the north of the city, saying:
“It’s true that this century belongs to the Albanians. After the sacrifice of our sacred liberation war and the freedom we achieved up to the Iber Bridge, since 2021 the north and Mitrovica breathe differently — because at the head of Kosovo’s government stands a leader with the highest public trust in our republic’s history, who has liberated 17 percent of its territory with a hero.”

Meanwhile, Vetëvendosje candidates across other municipalities — including Halil Thaçi in Obiliq and Valon Prebreza in Fushë Kosovë — used the final day to appeal for citizens’ votes, promising change, progress, and development in their communities.
