Kosovar judoka Laura Fazliu has secured a spot in the semifinals of the Grand Prix Upper Austria, currently taking place in Linz, Austria, in the -57 kg category.
Laura advanced without a match in the first round and then defeated Italy’s Carlotta Avanzato with an ippon in extra time during the second round.
In the quarterfinals, the 24-year-old faced Slovenia’s Leila Mazouzi, claiming another ippon victory.
Fazliu will now compete in the semifinals against Japan’s So Morichika, aiming for a spot in the final.
Meanwhile, Distria Krasniqi won a silver medal on Friday in the -52 kg category, further showcasing Kosovo’s dominance in judo.
