The first half of the Albania–England encounter at the “Air Albania” Stadium in Tirana ended in a draw.
Albania threatened early through Elseid Hysaj in the 18th minute with a powerful long-range shot.
Shortly after, Hysaj suffered an injury and left the pitch in the 25th minute. The Lazio defender was substituted by Ivan Balliu.
England also had a clear chance through striker Jarrod Bowen. His 36th-minute attempt was superbly saved by goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.
England has already secured direct qualification for the World Cup, while Albania will play in the playoffs in March of next year.
