Minister of Defence Maqedonci from ‘Defence 24 Days’: Europe must be ready against Russia’s threats

The Kosovo delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, which includes the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, the director of the KIA, Petrit Ajeti and representatives from the KSF, are participating at the two-day conference “Defence 24 Day”.

The conference is dedicated to issues related to defense and security, current and future geopolitical challenges and situation, prevention and defense in the age of war.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense met with his Polish counterpart. He said that he informed the Polish minister about the security situation in Kosovo and the region.

Maqedonci also informed about the 48 bases of the Serbian army located along the border line with Kosovo.

Maqedonci said that the meeting in Warsaw is special in terms of the exchange of ideas, as well as the analysis of the security situation in Eastern and Central Europe, but also in the Western Balkans.

Further, Maqedonci minister announced that in the following days, the conference will deal with curbing the Russian invasion in Ukraine, but also in other years in Eastern Europe.

It is mainly about curbing the Russian invasion of Ukraine, curbing Russian hegemony in Eastern Europe. Various security experts, military professionals and political leaders of security departments will discuss and exchange opinions and information about the steps to be taken in the future to prevent the expansion of Russian influence in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, as well as to curb of the various conventional and unconventional risks posed by the Russian autocratic and hegemonic policy for Europe as a whole, but in particular for Eastern Europe and Southeastern Europe”, Maqedonci declared for RTK.

Maqedonci further said that in this meeting the participating countries will express their willingness to support Ukraine in its just war against Russia in many dimensions, to be in the cohesion of all European countries in relation to the threats and dangers that threaten security in Europe.

“This cohesion must be open and practical. So all countries must offer their capacities to be ready to prevent a possible threat, both from Russia, but also from other actors”, said Maqedonci.
