In a major coordinated anti-narcotics operation, the Basic Prosecution of Pristina, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI) and the Kosovo Police’s Directorate for Investigating Narcotics Trafficking, has successfully dismantled an international drug ring.
The sting follows a months-long investigation utilizing specialized investigative measures, culminating in simultaneous raids across multiple locations.
1. The Raids and Seizures
Law enforcement forces executed targeted strikes in two key regional hubs: two locations within the Municipality of Pristina and a third site in the village of Babush, located in the Ferizaj Municipality.

• The primary haul consisted of roughly 60 kg of suspected marijuana
packaged and prepared for distribution.

• Officers seized two (2) passenger vehicles and one (1) commercial truck
suspected of being used to traffic the narcotics across regional lines.
2. International Suspects Apprehended
The operation exposed a cross-border criminal network, resulting in the arrest of four (4) suspects of varying nationalities:
- 1 Citizen of the Republic of Kosovo
- 2 Citizens of the Republic of Serbia
- 1 Citizen of the Republic of Albania

3. Legal Next Steps and Penal Codes
The suspects are being prosecuted under Article 267 paragraph 3, in conjunction with Article 275 paragraph 1.9 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
Within the legally mandated timeframe, the State Prosecutor will submit an official request to the court to secure detention and ensure the presence of the defendants throughout the ongoing criminal proceedings.
