At the Doctrine and Training Command (KDS) in Ferizaj, the “Battle Staff Course” and “Drill Sergeant Course” were successfully completed, organized and conducted by teams from the U.S. Army Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO).
Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, stated that these two courses have strengthened the combat capabilities of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).
“The Battle Staff Course aimed to develop KSF non-commissioned officers in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), enhance coordination of combat functions, and advance command and control processes at battalion and brigade levels,” Maqedonci said.
Meanwhile, the “Drill Sergeant Course” focused on training KSF members to become effective drill instructors, capable of transforming new recruits into disciplined, physically prepared soldiers proficient in military tactics.
The Minister emphasized that cooperation with U.S. partners increases KSF professionalism and interoperability with allied forces, contributing to improved readiness and operational capabilities.
Such training programs, according to Maqedonci, are part of the ongoing commitment to modernizing and professionally developing the Kosovo Security Force.
