On Monday, Prime Minister Albin Kurti will meet the chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, the only one of the three opposition leaders who has accepted the invitation of the head of the executive.

According to Kurti, the legislative agenda is expected to be discussed in this meeting, while according to Krasniqi, the date of the elections will be set.

However, Kurti’s invitation received a negative response from Lumir Abdixiku and Ramush Haradinaj, while the Democratic Party of Kosovo will be present at this meeting.

The latter have said that they will discuss with Prime Minister Kurti about the new parliamentary elections.

“The Democratic Party of Kosovo has accepted the invitation of Prime Minister Albin Kurti for a working meeting on Monday, and I can confirm that Chairman Memli Krasniqi will participate in this meeting.”

“Our position as PDK is clear and consistent – Kosovo is in crisis in every field and the only way out is early parliamentary elections, which must be held as soon as possible”.

“Therefore, the participation of President Krasniqi in this meeting will be for the purpose of discussing the possibility of setting a date for new elections”, said Faton Abdullahu, PDK spokesman.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, has responded negatively to Prime Minister Kurti’s invitation for a working dinner.

In the reply that the leader of the LDK gave to Prime Minister Kuri, it is said that he considers this invitation for a meeting late, after three and a half years in power.

Even the chairman of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, has responded negatively to Prime Minister Kurti’s invitation for a working dinner that will be organized on Monday, May 13.

In the reply that the head of AAK gave to Prime Minister Kuri, it is said that the themes of this dinner fall under the responsibility of the heads of the parliamentary groups, in this case Besnik Tahir, who leads the AAK group.
