The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has raised concerns about recent developments in The Hague, where the Office of the Specialist Prosecutor announced that former president Hashim Thaçi has been charged with an additional indictment for obstructing justice.
Krasniqi has called for the Specialized Chambers to act with the highest level of responsibility, emphasizing that justice should never be used as a tool to rewrite history or contest the sacrifices of those who fought for Kosovo’s freedom.
“The liberation war of our people was just, noble, and rooted in the universal right to freedom and dignity. Any attempt to distort this truth risks undermining not only the legitimacy of justice but also damaging the legacy of a sacred war for freedom. We appeal for the Specialized Chambers to act with maximum responsibility!” said the PDK leader.
