Montenegro’s Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) has filed a request with the Higher Court in Podgorica for the permanent confiscation of assets allegedly acquired through criminal activity by Radoje Zvicer, who has been sentenced to a combined 16-year prison term.
Zvicer was convicted of creating a criminal organization and the unauthorized production, possession and trafficking of narcotics.
According to the SDT, the request seeks the permanent confiscation of at least 54,567 square meters of real estate in Podgorica, Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat, as well as several high-value armored vehicles.
The prosecution said that although most of the assets are formally registered in the names of third parties, including family members, lawyers and companies allegedly linked to Zvicer, it considers him to be the actual owner.
The assets listed in the request include five apartments in Podgorica formally owned by a company identified as “M.I.”, as well as a multi-story residential building in Kotor containing a five-bedroom duplex apartment, two non-residential units, a yard and an orchard. The property is formally registered in the name of Zvicer’s wife.
A residential property with an attic and two garages, also formally registered to his wife, is among the assets targeted for confiscation.
The SDT is also seeking the seizure of a residential building, a yard and four orchards formally owned by Zvicer, along with two residential buildings, 10 garages, yards and forest land formally registered to several individuals, including Zvicer’s wife and her father.
Several forest properties formally registered to Zvicer, a company identified as “T” and a lawyer identified as D.D. are also included in the request.
The list further includes a multi-story building in Dub containing five apartments, 10 non-residential units and four commercial premises, as well as a residential property with a swimming pool, yard and other associated real estate in Sutvara.
In Tivat and Herceg Novi, the requested assets include properties formally registered to an individual identified as V.J. and Zvicer’s mother.
The prosecution is also seeking the confiscation of two Mercedes G 500 special armored passenger vehicles formally registered to an individual identified as D.M.
The Special State Prosecutor’s Office said its request contains evidence that it considers sufficient to establish that the listed assets were directly acquired through criminal activity.
