Operation ‘Dritarja’ in Prishtina: Three Arrested for Cocaine Trafficking, One Suspect at Large

In a decisive move against drug trafficking in the capital, Kosovo Police launched Operation ‘Dritarja’ on April 30, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of a significant amount of cocaine, along with other incriminating evidence.

The Anti-Narcotics Investigation Unit in Prishtina, following detailed intelligence work and court-approved special investigative measures, targeted individuals suspected of distributing narcotics in the region.

Key results from the operation:

  • A.A. (born 1983) was the first to be apprehended. He was found in possession of 0.44 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine.
  • A house raid revealed:
    • 56.9 grams of suspected cocaine
    • Cash in euros and other currencies
    • Various items of evidentiary value
  • A second location yielded:
    • 10.8 grams of suspected cocaine
    • Two digital scales
    • Nine rounds of ammunition

Two additional suspects were arrested:

  • K.A. (born 2000)
  • S.S. (born 1971)

After being interviewed at the police station, K.A. and S.S. were remanded in custody on the order of the State Prosecutor.

Authorities confirmed that a fourth suspect remains on the run and efforts are underway to locate and arrest him.

Kosovo Police emphasized that this operation reflects their ongoing commitment to combating organized crime, particularly drug trafficking networks that endanger public safety.
