The Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, emphasized that the European Union is the goal for both Serbia and Kosovo. To achieve this, according to him, dialogue is a condition, or rather a prerequisite.
In an interview with RTK2, Orav stressed the importance of the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, highlighting that this process is crucial for their future.
“I cannot imagine how Serbia or Kosovo could join the European Union without normalizing their relations,” said Orav.
He added that this is a key step toward stability and integration into European structures.
“Our financial assistance or money is just a tool to help implement reforms and assist both parties in preparing for EU membership,” Orav noted.
Discussing the formation of a new government, Orav pointed out that the process of government formation often takes a long time after elections.
“I’ve heard complaints that this process in Kosovo is taking too long, but the most important thing is that the will of all voters is properly taken into account,” said Orav.
According to him, it is essential that election results reflect the desires of citizens, regardless of the length of negotiations.
