The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met yesterday with the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Marcos Perestrello, to discuss the latest developments in relations between Kosovo and NATO.
During the meeting, President Osmani thanked Mr. Perestrello for her nomination for the “Women, Peace and Security” Award, emphasizing that this recognition by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is not only an acknowledgment of her work, but also a tribute to all the women of Kosovo.
She also welcomed the decision to advance Kosovo’s status to that of an associate member in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, describing it as an important step toward Euro-Atlantic integration.
“Kosovo will make full use of this opportunity as part of our aspiration for full NATO membership,”
stated President Osmani, adding that this goal remains a top priority of Kosovo’s foreign and national security policy.
