The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot.
During the meeting, the two discussed recent political developments in the country, with particular emphasis on the importance of fully functional institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in line with the Constitution. Both sides reiterated the importance of respecting democratic principles and the rule of law in all decision-making processes.
President Osmani and Ambassador Guérot also discussed bilateral relations between Kosovo and France, underlining the need to strengthen cooperation in key areas, particularly in the field of security.
Ahead of the European Political Community leaders’ summit to be held in Copenhagen, President Osmani and Ambassador Guérot exchanged views on the topics expected to be addressed during the summit, as well as on coordinating positions on issues of common interest.
President Osmani reaffirmed her commitment to advancing interstate relations with France and other partner countries, considering cooperation with France as particularly important for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path.
