President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has remained reserved when asked whether she plans to continue her political career after the end of her presidential term in the spring of next year.
In an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW), Osmani emphasized that the decision belongs to the people of Kosovo, stating that her future role will depend on the citizens’ will.
“I never think about where Vjosa Osmani will be; I always think about where the Republic of Kosovo will stand. If the people of Kosovo want me to continue contributing to our Republic, then I will do so. If they don’t wish to see me in politics, I will find other ways to serve my country,” Osmani said.
She added that regardless of her future position, her commitment to Kosovo remains unwavering.
“What matters most is that I will continue to live in the Republic of Kosovo, contributing either professionally or politically,” she affirmed.
Osmani’s comments come as her five-year presidential mandate nears completion, amid growing speculation about her potential return to active party politics.
