The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has sent a condolence message to the family and the journalist community following the death of photojournalist Alban Bujari.
The message states that Bujari, through his lens, documented the truth of Kosovo during its most difficult years, leaving behind an extraordinary archive of memory and history.
“From the early moments of the KLA’s war, he risked his life to show the world images that testified to the war, sacrifice, and suffering of our people. Through his photographs, the massacres in Prekaz, Reçak, and Rogovë did not remain just wounds in our memory, but became evidence of the crimes against Kosovo before the eyes of the world. With professionalism and rare courage, he made history immortal through images, leaving us with a valuable legacy for the generations to come,” reads the post published by the Presidency.
