Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Dyz massacre in Podujevo. In this massacre, 70 women, children, and men were executed.
The country’s leader expressed that all perpetrators of the executed victims must receive the deserved punishment, emphasizing that the pursuit of justice for them will never cease.
“On April 18, 1999, in the village of Dyz in Podujevo, the largest massacre in the Llap region occurred,” the presidency wrote on Facebook.
“25 years ago, the genocidal regime forces of Serbia committed one of the most heinous crimes in the village of Dyz in Podujevo, where they brutally tortured and executed 70 men, women, and children.”
“Remembering and honoring with humility all the victims of the Dyz massacre and all victims executed by the genocidal regime of Serbia, we will never stop seeking justice, because crimes never fade, and criminals must surely receive the deserved punishment.”
