President Vjosa Osmani has called on Austria and Slovenia to support the removal of European Union measures imposed on Kosovo, describing them as “unjustified in light of the country’s achievements.”
Osmani made the request during a meeting with Claudia Plakolm, Austria’s Federal Minister for Europe, Integration, and Family, and Neva Grašič, State Secretary for European Affairs of Slovenia.
She expressed gratitude to both countries for their ongoing support of Kosovo and their role in promoting regional stability. Osmani also voiced hope that Austria and Slovenia, as close allies, would be among the strongest advocates for advancing Kosovo’s application for EU candidate status.
“Kosovo remains fully committed to European values of democracy, equality, and human rights. The friendship and partnership with Austria and Slovenia are key pillars of the country’s foreign policy,” the President emphasized in her statement.
