Failure to comply with traffic rules is among the main causes of the numerous accidents occurring daily. One common method to prevent such incidents is to fine those who break traffic regulations, reports Gazeta Sinjali.
Statistics show that thousands of fines are issued every day in Kosovo.
The police reported that 2,314 fines were issued in just the past 24 hours.
During this period, there were 15 traffic accidents with injuries and 31 accidents causing material damage.
In terms of public safety, 14 people were arrested, with 11 of them sent into custody. No individuals were reported to be in police detention or serving a sentence.
