President Vjosa Osmani has traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Inaugural Meeting of the Peace Board, the Presidency announced.
According to the statement, Osmani is attending the meeting at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, alongside several world leaders.
The Presidency noted that Osmani considers Kosovo’s inclusion in the Peace Board — as a member state and co-founding country — one of the most significant foreign policy developments in recent years, emphasizing that this step directly strengthens Kosovo’s international standing.
“The Republic of Kosovo remains committed to working closely with our main ally, the United States, and with the Peace Board to deliver concrete results, support peace and stability in conflict-affected regions, and promote a future based on cooperation, security, and shared prosperity,” President Osmani stated.
Her participation in the inaugural meeting underscores Kosovo’s continued engagement with the United States and its efforts to enhance its role in international peace and stability initiatives.
