The Central Election Commission (CEC) has updated the results from the diaspora votes for Prishtina in the municipal elections held on October 12.
From 60% of the votes counted, Vetëvendosje candidate Hajrulla Çeku is currently leading with 54.88% (343 votes), while Përparim Rama of LDK is in second place with 26.72% (167 votes).
The remaining candidates are:
- Uran Ismaili (PDK) – 12.32% / 77 votes
- Besa Shahini (PSD) – 2.88% / 18 votes
From the overall aggregated results of all votes:
- Përparim Rama (LDK) – 33.74%
- Hajrulla Çeku (VV) – 33.13%
- Uran Ismaili (PDK) – 27.71%
- Bekë Berisha (AAK) – 3.12%
The race remains very close between the two main candidates, Çeku and Rama, with a runoff expected to decide the winner of Prishtina.
