The increase in electricity prices continues to provoke strong reactions in the country. The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) has announced a 15% increase in electricity prices, which has prompted citizens to organize a protest in Pristina, as reported by Rks News.
The protest will take place today and has been called by the group “Not a Cent More,” with organizer Luan Hasanaj urging mass participation from citizens.
In a statement, Hasanaj also called on businesses, in a show of solidarity, to close their establishments from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
He emphasized that the price hike is not only a burden for citizens but also severely impacts businesses, increasing operating costs and jeopardizing the sustainability of economic activities.
