Putin Determined: If Ukraine Uses Western Missiles in Russia, We Are at War with NATO

Vladimir Putin has reacted to claims that the West is allowing Zelensky to order long-range missile strikes, provided by Western countries, to target objectives within Russian territory.

The Russian President stated clearly that if this happens, it means we are at war with NATO. The use of Western long-range missiles by Ukraine to strike Russia would imply that “NATO countries are at war with Russia,” and Moscow will make “the appropriate decisions,” said President Vladimir Putin.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken gave his strongest hint yet that the White House is ready to lift its restrictions on Ukraine using long-range weapons supplied by the West to hit key military targets within Russia.

Speaking in Kyiv alongside UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Blinken said that the U.S. “from day one has been prepared to adjust its policy as the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine changes. We will continue to do so,” he emphasized, aligning with what President Biden suggested the previous day, according to A2.

Blinken said that he and Lammy would report to their “bosses,” Joe Biden and Keir Starmer, following their Wednesday talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The British Foreign Secretary suggested that the delivery of ballistic missiles from Iran to Moscow revealed this week had shifted strategic thinking in London and Washington. It was a “significant and dangerous escalation,” he said.
