The High Council of Prosecution (KLP) has approved the list of four candidates competing for the head of SPAK (Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure) during today’s meeting. The candidates are:

  • Adnan Xholi
  • Doloreza Musabelli
  • Elvin Gokaj
  • Klodian Braho

The meeting, held on Monday morning, was attended by 11 council members.

During the session, Zeqir Hodajt addressed media reports suggesting a conflict of interest, as his son had been appointed as a financial investigator at SPAK.

Hodajt stated:
“I am not in a position to waive this situation immediately. I believe both the council and I need time to make a decision regarding this matter. I consider it appropriate to recuse myself from the session concerning this issue. Even though it is a formal matter, I will abstain from voting to allow proper legal procedures to be followed.”

In the end, the KLP approved the list of four candidates with 10 votes in favor, excluding Hodajt’s vote.
