Albania’s Socialist Party (PS) today celebrated its 34th anniversary, with Prime Minister Edi Rama delivering a speech affirming the party’s unwavering commitment to its responsibilities. Rama stated that the primary objective of this, his fourth mandate, will be Albania’s full membership in the European Union within the current decade.

“Every victory is linked to a mandate of trust to lead the country and to make Albania a member of the European Union within this decade,” Rama declared. “This objective is as achievable as it is difficult; it is as close as it is tied to how quickly we will be able to improve what needs improving and fulfill what needs fulfilling.”

The head of the Socialist Party added that there is “no reason not to be confident,” citing the party’s new team, which includes a significant number of 83 deputies.
