The Minister for Communities and Return, Nenad Rashiq, at today’s meeting of the Government took the floor to address a call to all citizens of all ethnicities in Kosovo for an increase in tolerance.

He said that citizens should not be equated with politicians who use nationalist and chauvinistic language and that respect between neighbors should be increased.

“I ask our fellow citizens, like Serbs and Albanians, as well as all other communities, to respect their neighbors and have a level of tolerance, and citizens really shouldn’t be equated with politicians, who may occasionally have a little vocabulary strongly nationalist or chauvinist”.

Rashiq said that the people of Kosovo know what tolerance and coexistence are.

“However, I am inviting all fellow citizens to have respect for their neighbors, not only because this is a tradition, a lesson, in the genes of the Kosovar people, but also because this is not us. We are not like that. We know what tolerance is, we know what coexistence is, what is an understanding of the situation even though it is sometimes complex. But, nevertheless, an invitation for an increase in tolerance if we can call it in this aspect”, said Rashiq.
