Assembly Speaker Dimal Basha interrupted today’s parliamentary session due to the lack of consensus regarding the appointment of the Serb community’s Deputy Speaker.
The candidate, Nenad Rashiq, also failed to secure the required majority to be elected to this position. He received 55 votes in favor, 1 against, and 17 abstentions.
Previously, the Serbian List’s proposal had also failed in the vote. To be elected Deputy Speaker, a candidate needs at least 61 votes in favor.
The next parliamentary session is scheduled for Thursday at 11:00.
