A section of the Ferizaj–Prishtina national road has been covered by water. For this reason, the police have temporarily stopped traffic.
Footage from the scene shows several vehicles working to manage the situation, while the road remains flooded.
Police previously stated that traffic would be diverted via the highway.
“Due to the large amount of water on the Ferizaj–Prishtina national road, specifically in the segment passing through the village of Llapnasellë, from the Marigona roundabout toward Ferizaj, and from the Prishtina Mall roundabout toward Prishtina, in coordination with officials from the Ministry of Infrastructure and the company responsible for road maintenance, a decision has been made to fully block vehicle traffic on this section of the road for a certain period,” the announcement said.
Parts of the area have been affected by flooding due to recent rainfall. Snowfall is expected later today, along with further drops in temperature.
