Kyiv was the target of two waves of drone attacks in the early hours of November 5th, said the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko.

He added that air defense systems in Kyiv were working to repel the second attack in the Obolonsky district in the northeast, after the Holosivski district in the south was hit by Russian drones the previous day.

In a post on Telegram, Klitschko urged residents to stay in shelters.

In Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, two women were injured by Russian shelling on November 5th.

In recent weeks, Kyiv and Kharkiv have been regularly targeted by Russian airstrikes as Ukraine prepares for its third winter since Russia began its invasion.
